ASC-F Grants and Research Update
The American Spaniel Club Foundation approved $7,000 to support studies in 2009. These include research in canine cancer related to diagnosis and treatment of lymphoma and hemangiosarcoma through the AKC Canine Health Foundation. And it approved continued support of Dr. Acland’s three year study related to the methodology for improved diagnosis with potential for gene therapy for inherited canine eye disease through the Morris Animal Foundation, as well as Dr. Patterson’s Year Two for epilepsy.
